GPPS (General Purpose Polystyrene) is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, and shiny transparent beaded or granular solid. It features a density of 1.04 to 1.09, with a transparency rate of 88% to 92% and a refractive index of 1.59 to 1.60.
Under stress, it exhibits a stress-optical effect known as birefringence. The product's melting temperature ranges from 150 to 180°C, with a thermal decomposition temperature of 300°C. The heat distortion temperature is between 70 to 100°C, and it is suitable for long-term use at temperatures of 60 to 80°C.
